Time:
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Join PPC’s restoration gardener, Reid Loughead, on Saturday, September 7, 2024 for a tree identification hike that weaves tales of the past with Pittsburgh’s present-day woodlands. We’ll meet at the Frick Environmental Center gatehouse for a light hike, observing various tree species used by freedom seekers in their everyday lives and in their journeys to freedom. This educational hike is part of a larger event, our Freedom Harvest Celebration, with food vendors and music set up just in time for our group’s return back to the FEC. Spots are limited – RSVP today!.

Accessibility: There is just short distance along a flat, paved surface from the garden to the Frick Environmental Center. Some seating will be available during the tour of the garden. Seating will be provided for all guests during the light lunch.

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact 412-682-7275 or email info@pittsburghparks.org.
