Bring real-world sustainability to your students through the Frick Environmental Center Educator Cohort! This paid opportunity is for educators who work with high school aged students to create sustainability lessons, activities, and other learning experiences based off the interactive data on the Frick Environmental Center Building Dashboard. Participants will receive in-depth training on the building dashboard, a $250 stipend, and either a free virtual tour of the Frick Environmental Center or a reduced cost in-person tour for a class of 25. Act 48 credits are also available.

The Cohort takes place over two meetings on the following dates:

Meeting 1: December 13, 2021, 4:30-6:00pm
Meeting 2: January 24,
2022, 4:30-6:00pm

Registration for the first round of educators closes on December 1, 2021. There will be a second Cohort opportunity in the spring, so please email Ellen Conrad (econrad@pittsburghparks.org) if you are interested in joining then.

Requirements:
Participants must work with high school aged students in a classroom, outdoor, out of school time, or other organized setting. Educators must attend both meetings (virtual or in person, depending on group preference) and produce at least two lessons based on the information in the dashboard. This opportunity is open for high school educators of all content areas but is most applicable for science and math teachers. If you have questions, please email Ellen Conrad (econrad@pittsburghparks.org) for more information.
