10.27 Healing Partnership and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy are excited to partner in the creation of a healing hike.

The intention of this support group in motion if to offer a therapeutic and educational space for those directly and indirectly affected by the 2018 synagogue shooting, as well as the greater Pittsburgh community, to come together for a guided walk that will build connections and foster healing and well-being. We aim to create an environment where participants can work on their own healing, connect with others, feel less alone in their pain, and learn about our surroundings.

Data shows that being in nature helps to calm our nervous systems and increase a feeling of peace. We combine this with building empathic environment where all participants are encouraged to be their authentic self and find connections with others. We will provide instructions and support on how to create a space for mutual healing with new friends and peers, and all walks will also be joined by a therapist with trauma training.

Please meet at the Frick Environmental Center fountain at 9:30 A.M.
