🌼 Dive into Spring with Nature-Inspired Programming!

Our naturalist educators have been working hard to bring you a spring filled with accessible park programming that fosters a sense of wellbeing and connects you to nature. In addition to our recurring series, such as Forest Bathing and Birding Pittsburgh's Parks, we are also offering brand new ways to explore your parks, such as our Panther Hollow Watershed Walk, Schenley Park Wildflower Hike, and never-before-seen City Nature Challenges. Forest Bathing in Frick Park

What: A walk through Frick Park where you will learn to concentrate on what you're observing and experiencing through the five senses.

When: April 9 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.

Where: Frick Park/Frick Environmental Center

Panther Hollow Watershed Walk

What: A firsthand presentation on watersheds and sources of pollution in our community, including a walk through Schenley Park. 

When: April 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.

Birding in Schenley Plaza

What: Our beloved birding series in the heart of Schenley Plaza. Learn to identify feathered friends. 

When: April 15 from 8:00 - 9:30 A.M.

🌍 Earth Month Returns to Westinghouse and McKinley Parks

Join us for an Earth Month Celebration filled with family fun, activities, games, music and more! Festivities include lawn games, face painting, balloon artists, solar powered interactives, nature crafts, and activities by community organizations. All are welcome to attend our free community celebrations. 

Dates: Saturday, April 6 from 12:00 - 3:00 P.M. (Westinghouse Park)

Saturday, April 20 from 12:00 - 3:00 P.M. (McKinley Park)

A New Shine for Pittsburgh's Oldest Park

Pittsburgh's oldest park is shining bright once again thanks to a $1.8 million restoration that was recently completed by the Parks Conservancy. A special thanks to the City of Pittsburgh and Duquesne Light Company for their support.

PNC Carousel Animals to Awaken Soon

Get ready for another season with the beloved PNC Carousel in Schenley Plaza! The season kicks off on Friday, May 3! Get your season passes ahead of time to enjoy an entire season of unlimited rides.

Commonplace Coffee Brewing Up Something New

Over the past three years, we have partnered with local favorite, Commonplace Coffee, to bring you six collaborative blends paying homage to Pittsburgh's parks! Next up is a collab featuring an idyllic community park that is undergoing recent restorations! Can you guess the next park blend, coming Tuesday, March 19?

🐝 Help our Gardeners Grow our Gardens

Blooms will be popping up in your park gardens before you know it! Help our gardeners make the park gardens beautiful and contribute to the careful maintenance of the local ecosystem, by supporting our new initiative, the Grow Our Gardens fund. The perennials on the list have been hand-selected by our horticulture team. So, spread some love and help us keep our parks vibrant!

It's hats off to our biggest fundraising event of the year! The PNC Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Hat Luncheon returns on Saturday May 4, this year amongst the gorgeous backdrop of Schenley Park. So, grab your fascinator, fedora, or sombrero, because Pittsburgh's most fashionable event of the year is sure to be filled with the who's who of the Burgh, decked out in the most extravagant fashion in 'tahn.
